About

Trauma is universal, and healing is within reach.

“I know how hard it can be to open up and let people inside. The process of writing all that raw emotion out was incredibly helpful. The more I share this aspect of my life, the less of a burden it is. Our stories connect us. ” — Dandy Noel

To Us … Love, You is the life mission of Dandy Noel, a visual artist and entrepreneur who spent years of her life dealing with the aftermath of a series of traumatic events. Determined to make sense of her experiences, she enrolled in film school and wrote a screenplay about her journey of self-discovery.

After working in the film industry as a director and set designer, she relocated to California’s Wine Country where she is a professional photographer and purveyor of customized local tours and travel.

Surviving trauma often takes more than bare-knuckled endurance. For Dandy, that help came in the form of a close friend, loving grandparents, creative pursuits, and plenty of reading and meditation. But it was the act of writing a screenplay and several memoir-type essays that allowed her to put the pieces together and envision a way to help others write about their most challenging experiences.

Who or what has helped you move through your pain and come out on the other side? Tell us! We want to know about the heroes who made it possible for you to live another day.
